Breast cancer and diseases of the thyroid gland are prevalent in women in today’s society. Both breast and thyroid glands are regulated by hypothalamic-pituitary axis, which suggest that there are some common risk factors involved in the pathogenesis for both breast cancer and thyroid disorders. This paper is based on the recent relevant literature, and addresses the recent understanding in the relationship between breast cancer and thyroid diseases.
