Primary liver cancer is a malignant tumor with poor prognosis and high morbidity and mortality. So far, the mechanisms for the occurrence and development of primary liver cancer have not been fully understood, and multidisciplinary comprehensive therapy is the main modality for the treatment of primary liver cancer. Here, the authors overview the research progress on pathogenesis of primary liver cancer and its treatment, so as to provide better strategies for its diagnosis and treatment.
