Acute abdomen caused by connective tissue diseases (CTD) is rare in clinical practice, and can easily lead to misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis. This paper mainly addresses the manifestations, diagnosis and treatment of acute abdomen due to CTD, among which, those related to lupus erythematosus, polyarteritis nodosa and Behcet disease are highlighted.
