Abstract:As no postoperative scar is left on the anterior neck area, endoscopic surgery via breast approach has been increasingly preferred by thyroid cancer patients, especially by young female patients. How to realize central compartment dissection (CCD) with a standardized endoscopic technique and extend its use in primary-level hospitals are urgent problems to be solved. Here, the authors, using bilateral areolar approach as an example, introduce the procedures of endoscopic CCD used by the surgical team led by WANG Ping in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University.
